The Purpose of Election Law
The thumb of tyranny on the scales of justice, equal protection & civil society
Phoenix, AZ June 12, 2023… I wonder what Barry Goldwater would think? We have lost a common understanding of the purpose of LAW between the people and the courts, which by the way were intended to serve the interests of the people, not special interests or agendas. If it were not so, the Founding Fathers of our nation would not have codified it in our Constitution, “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States;…nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
James Madison, a man vilified by the radical left over the last few years, but one of those who framed a government that brought more freedom and prosperity to the world than it had ever known, wrote in the Federalist Papers,
“If Men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and the next place, oblige it to control itself.”
So we have a republic if we can keep it. It is important that we have a common understanding of the notion of “Due Process,” the process under law. Everything outside of the process is not under the law, in essence, it is unlawful or said another way, lawless. Having the rules in place before a contest fosters competition, changing the rules after the contest is in progress promotes tyranny.
And what of customs and precedent? We’ve heard a lot about “crossing the rubicon” lately, but many people don’t know what that means. When one crosses a rubicon, they are crossing a bounding or limiting line, especially one that once crossed the action commits a person irrevocably. So, once such an act is undertaken, never again will society be able to say, that’s never happened before.
In the matter of Alvin Leonard Bragg, Jr. the hyper-partisan, WEF darling of a weaponized lawfare drone, the New York County —Manhattan— District Attorney, has crossed the rubicon. He did so knowing full well that Presidents Clinton, Obama and Biden have all engaged in serious high crimes and misdemeanors. He crossed the rubicon with the outlandish indictments against President Donal J. Trump that are clearly nothing more than a political hit job. To quote former President Ronald Reagan: “Law and freedom must be indivisible partners. For without law, there can be no freedom, only chaos and disorder; and without freedom, law is but a cynical veneer for injustice and oppression.”
So that is what see at work here by the hands of Bragg and his cronies, a cynical veneer for injustice and oppression. Bragg and his cronies are terrified of what President Trump would do to the old demons living in this age, the Jezebel and Ahab spirits who seek to advance satan’s grip on mankind.
Keep this in mind, when we tolerate evil, it will come to dominate.
Please forgive the academic nature of this segment, but we no longer have a shared understanding of what the law means and why it is there. I would like to change that now.
Moral Relativism, the doctrine that there are no absolute rules to determine whether something is right or wrong, has destroyed that. And now we wonder, why have things turned to $hit?
Let’s take just a moment to revisit the purpose of law…There are four primary purposes of law:
maintaining order
establishing standards
resolving disputes
protecting individual rights and liberties.
These purposes are not separate but entwined.
