Representative Mark Finchem, born in Detroit, Michigan, served 21 years with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety as a firefighter, paramedic, and police officer. During his time as a police officer, he was also a rancher.

After retirement, he moved to Tucson, Arizona, working in leadership roles at Intuit and receiving his Six Sigma process improvement certification.

He was elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2014, where he earned one of the most solidly conservative voting records in the Arizona legislature.

This includes A-ratings from the National Rifle Association, Americans for Prosperity and the American Conservative Union. It also includes a perfect 0% F-rating from the pro-abortion group NARAL.

A staunch advocate for fair elections – including being a leader in the successful fight to audit the 2020 election – he has worked tirelessly to address election vulnerabilities, prosecute election fraud, and spearhead legislation for paper ballots with currency-grade security features.

He holds a Master of Legal Studies from the University of Arizona, a BA in Government from Grand Canyon University, and an AAS in Criminal Justice from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Mark and his wife Tanya have four adult children.
